Just as Akuma’s addition as Street Fighter 6‘s final Year 1 fighter came alongside new outfits for the Year 1 DLC characters, the upcoming Elena update will introduce one new outfit each for M. Bison, Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, and Elena herself. Each outfit makes the fighters (all of which are legacy characters from established fighting game franchises) look and feel brand-new.
M. Bison trades his default long hair and hobo look for shorter, slicked-back hair, a mouton jacket, and leather chaps. Terry hits the (basketball) streets with a matching basketball jersey, sweatpants, shoes, and a blue vest and red cap.
Going to the women’s side, Mai goes all-in on her Japanese roots by wearing an obi-less kimono. Underneath the kimono is a red corset, red pants, and sandals. To top it off, Mai wears a large flower hairpin (complete with tiny butterflies) over her right ear.
Elena’s new outfit has her donning more conservative clothing by way of some colorful dungarees. Her hair is tied up in a bun this time around, revealing her lightly painted face. While Elena’s classic outfit has her running barefoot, this one has her donning on some flip flops.
Now that all the characters have their Outfit 3 appearances, fans are hoping Capcom will add more outfits for the roster. It’s been a year and a half since the base roster got their latest outfits and, outside of fan mods and recolors, there hasn’t been much in the way of character customization (not counting the avatar cosmetics which players are getting tired of).
Elena is set to release on June 5 for Street Fighter 6, which is available for PC (Steam), PS4/PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
