Shift Up’s upcoming new title, formerly known as Project Witches, has officially been renamed to Project Spirits. Along with the name change, the South Korean studio has also started a large-scale recruitment campaign for development staff and revealed the new title’s first piece of key art.
As reported by ThisIsGame, Project Spirits is a so-called “subculture game” (targeting niche, otaku audiences) slated for launch in 2027 for PC and mobile platforms. With a concept revolving around “Eastern Fantasy,” the game is being directed by Daehoon Dan, who is credited on titles like Metallic Child and Smashing The Battle.
As development of Project Spirits starts in earnest, Shift Up is launching a large-scale recruitment campaign starting June 2. The studio is looking for artists, game designers, scenario writers and project managers, with applications open via their official homepage.
