Guilty Gear Strive developer acknowledges data leak, says player information is unaffected

Arc System Works has addressed the massive data breach that resulted in Guilty Gear Strive's source code and unreleased content being leaked.

Arc System Works has issued a statement addressing a rumored data breach that resulted in Guilty Gear Strive’s source code and compiled development builds being leaked.

The company confirmed that a third party illegally accessed their systems, resulting in internal data being leaked. Although Arc System Works is still investigating the extent of the leak, there have been no traces of users’ personal information or account information being jeopardized so far.

According to Dexterto, the alleged hacker claimed to have “easily” breached Arc System Works’ internal servers. They uploaded almost a terabyte of data in a public Discord server, which included three dev builds of Guilty Gear Strive and unreleased Season 5 content.

Arc System Works asked users not to attempt to access the leaked data due to the risk of malware infection.
