Taking a break from working on and posting about Deltarune, Toby Fox took to social media to promote Undertale on Steam. Following the advent of the Steam Spring Sale, Fox’s first game on the platform has been discounted to just $1 USD, making it a must-buy for anyone who loves good music, compelling storytelling, and tsundere cacti:
Fox also took the opportunity to make a follow-up post referencing the fan-made conspiracy theories that arise from his posts – the majority of which are false “hidden messages” about Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4’s release date. Instead of anything Deltarune-related, the follow-up post includes an edited image of the first which reveals that Undertale is, in fact, on sale for 90% off.
Not to be deterred, fans have already started replying to Fox’s follow-up post with more reactions and conspiracy theories. Some of the best ones include fans being shocked at Fox’s knowledge of the meme and the ever-present Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 false release dates.
Undertale is available on macOS, Windows, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Vita, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 are set to be released sometime in 2025.
