Not one week into Monster Hunter Wilds’ release and Capcom has already begun churning out post-launch content. Two limited-time Event Quests are now available to complete in-game, with one reward paying homage to a cuddly creature while the other being a tasty ingredient to meals.

Hunt a large avian creature to create a fuzzy hat in “Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo”
The “Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo” quest will have players hunting a Yian Kut-Ku in the Scarlet Forest. Yian Kut-Ku are weak to Thunder, Water, and Ice elemental attacks and are susceptible to Poison, Sleep, Paralysis, Blastblight, Stun, and Exhaust, so adjusting your loadout accordingly will make the hunt easier.
Completing the quest grants you a bunch of crafting items, chief of them being the Mimiphyta Ticket. The Mimiphyta Ticket is used to create the Mimiphyta α headgear – a unique piece of armor that looks eerily similar to the Mimiphyta found in the forest where the hunt takes place. Even if you don’t end up using the Mimiphyta α headgear, crafting it will allow you to transmog your other armor pieces into this cute hat.
You have to be HR (Hunter Rank) 9 or higher to participate in the “Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo” quest, which is available from now until March 18 at 3:59 pm PT/23:59 pm GMT.

“Stalking Supper” has you hunting a Quematrice for cheese
Speaking of quests that don’t make sense, the second quest “Staking Supper” has you hunting the rooster-like Quematrice in the Windward Plains for Kunafa Cheese. According to the hunt description, the Sandfolk will treat you to the ingredients provided you slay the Quematrice for them. Quematrice are weak to Water elemental attacks and are susceptible to Poison, Sleep, Paralysis, Blastblight, Stun, and Exhaust.

Kunafa Cheese is an additional cooking ingredient that you can combine with your meals to occasionally decrease damage taken during hunts. While it isn’t as rare or potent an ingredient as Sharp Kunafa Cheese, it can save your hunter’s life during a tough battle.
You must be HR 9 or higher to participate in the “Stalking Supper” quest, which is available from now until March 11 at 3:59 pm PT/23:59 pm GMT.

To start Event Quests, either talk to Alma or go to your Tent in any Base Camp or Pop-up Camp. Go to the Quest Counter and choose “Post/Join Quest” followed by “Event Quests”.
According to Capcom, these two Event Quests mark the beginning of Monster Hunter Wilds’ post-release quests. Special rewards will be available for completing them, which should incentivize players to log in regularly. Players can check the Monster Hunter Wilds Event Quest Schedule to stay updated on current and upcoming Event Quests.
Monster Hunter Wilds is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
