Detroit Become Human actor reacts to Monster Hunter Wilds recreation of himself

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. In the case of actor Bryan Dechart, flattery came in the form of a Monter Hunter Wilds’ recreation of his character, Connor, from the Quantic Dream’s game Detroit: Become Human. Using the Monster Hunter Wilds’ beta’s robust character creator, X user Osmain2468 was able to recreate the RK800 android in Capcom’s rugged historical fantasy world.

Everything from Connor’s hair and stoic expression to the blue circular LED on the side of his right temple was faithfully recreated in the Monster Hunter Wilds’ beta. Osmain2468 was even kind enough to share the data needed to recreate their version of Connor in the character creator.

Dechart, who is a streamer and content creator alongside his wife Amelia Rose Blaire Dechart for Dechart Games on Twitch and YouTube, quickly picked up on Osmain2468’s post. Not only did he retweet the post, but he also complimented Osmain2468 on their faithful recreation of Connor.

Detroit: Become Human has been out for almost seven years now, but fans are still captivated by its world, story, and characters, so much so that they endeavor to put them in other games. Once Monster Hunter Wilds releases, people can take their versions of Connor and go hunting for monsters instead of deviant androids.

Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam) on February 28. A second open beta session will take place on February 13, 7:00 PM (PT) to February 16, 6:59 PM (PT).
