Pokémon TCG Pocket hands out 1,000 free Trade Tokens while devs work on controversial trade system

Pokémon TCG Pocket’s development team announced on February 5 that players have been given 1,000 in-game Trade Tokens each. The free items can be redeemed through the app’s Gift screen within 30 days. 

In the announcement, Pokémon TCG Pocket’s developers say that they have received “a lot of feedback” about the recently implemented trading feature, and that they’re currently figuring out how to improve it. It seems the free Trade Tokens are intended to help players get by until an update is ready. 

Trading was one of the most highly anticipated additions to the Pokémon TCG Pocket app, but when it finally went live last week, it was met with a lot of disappointment. Players criticized the restrictions imposed on trading and the difficulty of obtaining Trade Tokens – the currency needed to trade rare cards. Fortunately, it seems the developers are listening to the feedback and working on a solution. 

Pokémon TCG Pocket is available for iOS and Android.
