Deltarune Chapter 4 testing is winding down on PC; console testing to begin tomorrow, Toby Fox says
Progress on Deltarune’s third and fourth chapters seems to be going smoothly, as creator Toby Fox recently announced via Bluesky that Chapter 4 testing and translation are nearing completion for the PC version of the game. Console testing will begin tomorrow, where the goal is to test Deltarune Chapter 1,2,3, and 4 for all platforms.
Though the first two chapters of Deltarune are already playable for free on PC, Mac, Switch, PS4, and PS5, Fox needs to make sure that all the chapters can be connectively played without issues. Toby Fox previously tested a chapter switch command for Deltarune Chapter 1 and 2, which had its share of problems.
In a follow-up post, Fox mentions that the PlayStation version of Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 requires trophies; all of which have to be tested to see if they can be unlocked through gameplay. He goes on to say that testers might not like this part of their jobs, as they could prove difficult or annoying to get.
While Deltarune Chapter 1 and 2 don’t have trophies as they are classified as demos, the hardest trophy to get in Undertale, “Dognation Level 15”, requires players to donate (some would say waste) 350G to the Dog Shrine. If this is any indication of Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4’s trophies, acquiring the game’s much-coveted platinum trophy is going to take a while.
Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 are set to be released sometime in 2025.
