Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada’s “open to work” announcement is not a cause for worry, creator clarifies
Katsuhiro Harada made an update on his LinkedIn profile on January 20 that caused uproar about him potentially leaving Bandai Namco Studios. The creator set his job preference to “open to work” and made a post in which he said that he was looking for new full-time positions, asking industry peers to help him find new opportunities. However, it seems this is not a cause for worry, as he later reassured on X.
On LinkedIn, Harada mentioned that he was interested in full-time positions such as executive producer, game director, vice president of business development, business development executive, and vice president of marketing. He also added that he’s “casually” looking, with no specific start date in mind. Unsurprisingly, fans who saw this took it as a sign that the Tekken series executive producer is getting ready to leave Bandai Namco after his 30-year career at the company, which would have big consequences for the Tekken series’ future.
On the other hand, Harada quickly clarified on X that the update was only meant as a way for him to expand his network, and that fans have nothing to worry about.
