Masahiro Sakurai’s YouTube Channel wrap party features the cutest Christmas tree ever

Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai recently posted on X about a Christmas-themed wrap party that was held for his informative YouTube Channel, Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games. In the post, he showed pictures of the gifts he received from collaborators on the project.

The team from 8-4, the company that provided the English translation work for Sakurai’s videos, presented the game creator with a Christmas tree decorated with charming iced cookies featuring illustrations of Sakurai and his cat. Not only that but Hike, the company who edited the videos, got Sakurai some custom acrylic stands featuring his beloved cat.

Post translation: Today was the wrap party for the completion of my YouTube Channel, and the Christmas tree that the translation team at 8-4 prepared was amazing. (It was decorated with) iced cookies featuring artwork from the videos and my cat. Thank you everyone for the past 3 years!
Post translation: Acrylic stands of Fukurashi…?!
The channel editors at Hike kindly made them.
There are two types, each with a “Tonikaku yare!!” (Just do it!!) sticker.
I will put them on my desk to encourage me.
I’m not selling them!

Masahiro Sakurai’s pet cat Fukura (or Fukurashi, as he often calls her) is no stranger to fans of the legendary game creator and his YouTube Channel. She got an entire Grab Bag video dedicated to her (including an adorable image of her chomping Kirby) and was also amusingly featured in Sakurai’s video on tips for storing your game collection.

Sakurai certainly received some heartfelt presents from his collaborators on the ambitious and informative Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games series, a huge undertaking that showed Sakurai’s dedication to making a free resource to help future game developers
