Nitroplus reports 24% yearly profit growth following acquisition by Cygames owner CyberAgent
Nitroplus recently published financial statements for the fiscal year ending August 2024 (as reported by GameBiz). According to the report, the Saya no Uta and Steins;Gate developer saw their annual net profit increase by 24.1% to 773 million yen (about $5.02 million).
In June 2024, Nitroplus became a consolidated subsidiary of CyberAgent, the parent company of developers like Cygames, QualiArts and Colorful Palette. The digital media conglomerate purchased 72% of Nitroplus’ shares for 16.9 billion yen (over $104 million).
As Nitroplus produces not only games but various other content such as novels, anime, and illustrations, CyberAgent is positioning it at the core of its IP creation strategy. According to Nitroplus’ CEO Takaki Kosaka, the company is retaining its name, culture and creative freedom.
In Spring 2025, Nitroplus will release their brand-new dystopian mech action game Dolls Nest.
