The Game Awards 2024: All Winners

The Game Awards 2024 were broadcast live from Los Angeles on the evening of December 12 (local time). Below is a complete list of all the award categories and their respective nominees and winners.

The Game of the Year was awarded to PS5-exclusive Astro Bot. It was the biggest winner of the night, sweeping four categories in total: Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best action/Adventure Game and Best Family Game.

Metaphor: ReFantazio and Balatro won three categories each. Atlus’s latest RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio received Best Art Direction, Best Narrative and Best Role-Playing Game. Indie darling Balatro was awarded Best Mobile Game, Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie.

The night began with the best Fighting Game Award. Many big hitters like Dragon Ball Sparking Zero! And the nostalgic Marvel vs. Capcom: Fighting Collection Arcade Classics were among the nominees. However, Tekken 8 beat off all comers to snag the award.
