Deltarune gets bizarre fan-made dating game where Asgore can romance Toriel

ToriMeki Memorial is a short, unofficial fan-made game featuring characters from Toby Fox’s Undertale and its parallel story Deltarune. You play as Asgore in college, where you can befriend and romance Toriel. Released by artist and programmer komm64 on December 1, the free-to-play PC game is available in English and Japanese.

The ruler of the Underground, Asgore Dreemurr was once married to the goat-like Toriel. Without spoiling the plot of Undertale, certain events cause Toriel to become Asgore’s ex-wife. Komm64’s fan-made spinoff imagines how they might have originally met, transporting the two characters into a college setting and letting the player, in the cloven hooves of Asgore, try to get to know Toriel.

The game mechanics match its title- spoofing Tokimeki Memorial, Konami’s long running series of stat-building dating sims set in high school. Tapping into the nostalgic feel, the graphics mimic the curved screen and scanlines of a CRT TV. The player picks choices as they progress through the dialogue, which will affect the outcome.
