Street Fighter 6 to get battle balance update on December 2

Balance changes in fighting games are a big deal, no matter how minor they may be. In the case of a title as competitive and popular as Street Fighter 6, both casual and professional players need to adapt to the updates as quickly as possible to remain in fighting form.

While Capcom already said that the upcoming update won’t be as big as the Akuma launch patch that was released last May, players are already listing their proposed changes on both the English and Japanese Street Fighter X accounts.

Street Fighter 6 update battle balance Terry

From Marisa nerfs to Terry buffs to throw loops, each aspect of Street Fighter 6 has arguments and counterarguments on what should and should not be strengthened/ weakened. It’s hard to envy the game’s balancing team when so many players are passionate about the game, but I suppose that’s the price you pay when your franchise is so beloved.

Speculators need not wait long for the official changes, however, as Capcom will publish an extensive list on December 1 at 8 pm PT – the same time that a 4-hour server maintenance starts for the update’s implementation.
