Bloodborne PlayStation 4 servers set to undergo maintenance on December 3
The 9-year-old fan-favorite Bloodborne is getting an update this December 3, 2024. Instead of gameplay changes, graphical updates, and the fan-awaited 60fps patch, however, FromSoftware is only doing a server maintenance update for the game’s servers.
While user-generated Notes and the game’s cooperative PVE and competitive PVP modes will be offline for roughly four hours, it is the date of the planned update that has Bloodborne aficionados hoping for something more. December 3, 2024 will be PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, and the date also appears in the company’s most recent “Play Has No Limits” video. Considering that the game has been a PlayStation 4 exclusive since time immemorial, this planned maintenance could be the latest of many Bloodborne red herrings.
Bloodborne’s gothic atmosphere, visceral combat, and nonverbal storytelling have made it a classic to the point where streamers play the game in hopes of a remaster and where people create and manage a wiki for the game all by themselves.
Still, readers should take this speculation with a grain of salt. A planned maintenance update isn’t a confirmation that new Blooborne content is coming; only that the game’s online features will continue working as intended.
