Pre-registration for Tribe Nine, the death game ARPG written by Danganronpa’s creator, opens today for mobile platforms
Akatsuki Games opened pre-registrations for their “extreme death game” ARPG Tribe Nine on November 26. The free-to-play title is currently in development for PC (Steam), iOS and Android, and as of today, you can pre-register for the latter two on the App Store and Google Play respectively.
Tribe Nine is set in a futuristic Neo Tokyo ruled by deadly games. A varied cast of teenaged characters engage in life-or-death battles in hopes of reclaiming their stolen dreams and freedom. If this sounds (and looks) familiar, it’s because Tribe Nine is being co-developed by Too Kyoo Games, the studio led by Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka.
Gameplay consists of exploring Neo Tokyo with your party and defeating enemies to liberate the city and progress in the story. You can form your own party with up to three members, and each available character possesses unique skills and behaviors that can be strategically mixed and matched. As you explore futuristic Tokyo, you will also come across various mini games and receive side quests from locals.
According to the announcement by Akatsuki Games, if you pre-register for Tribe Nine on the AppStore or Google Play, you will receive an exclusive character skin and a “Starter Supplies” bundle of in-game items.
Tribe Nine recently held a closed beta test, as well as a limited-time “Deadly Demo” event on Steam, generating significant interest. With pre-registrations starting, an announcement of the game’s release date may be right around the corner.
