Stellar Blade will continue getting new content ahead of Steam release in 2025, Shift Up says

Stellar Blade and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE developer Shift Up published its Quarter 3 financials on November 12. In the accompanying Q&A session, the South Korean game company revealed what the future holds for its PS5-exclusive Stellar Blade, confirming that it is preparing to bring the game to PC (Steam).

In the Q&A session, Shift Up revealed that it is considering taking Stellar Blade multiplatform “within 2025.” Although it was not specified whether Stellar Blade will be releasing on other consoles like Xbox Series X|S, Shift Up did confirm that Stellar Blade will be coming to PC and that the company has high expectations for the PC launch. “Considering recent trends such as Steam’s expanding market share in the AAA game sector and the global success of Black Myth: Wukong, we expect the performance (of Stellar Blade) on PC to exceed that on consoles.”

Stellar Blade Steam PC release coming in 2025

Stellar Blade came out back in April 2024 for the PS5, attracting lots of attention for its sleek and sexy character designs, especially that of protagonist Eve. In the Q&A, Shift Up also reveals that Stellar Blade has continued to enjoy stable sales throughout the year, thanks in part to new updates and content patches aimed at sustaining the action game’s popularity (the summer update, which included swimwear for Eve, increased the playerbase by 40%).

In the near future, Shift Up is launching a Nier: Automata DLC for Stellar Blade, due out on November 20. The developer comments that “We aim to maintain the (Stellar Blade) IP’s popularity until the platform expansion.”

Stellar Blade is currently available on PS5. It will be coming to PC (Steam), tentatively within 2025.
