Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero devs to tackle long matchmaking times and save data corruption issues next
While Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO’s release has been massively popular – attaining glowing reviews from critics and selling like hotcakes, the game has been having some technical issues. Players have been reporting problems like waiting for hours to get matched in the ranked mode (especially on Xbox), and more alarmingly, their save data vanishing or becoming corrupted.
Thankfully, it seems Bandai Namco has taken notice of the issues and is currently looking into the causes. The official Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero account on X notified players on October 24 that the development team has identified and is currently investigating the following points:
- Rank points being reset
- Matchmaking taking a long time and connection errors occurring during online matches
- Save data being corrupted
The save data bug is particularly scary for console players, some of whom reported mysteriously losing hours of progress in the game. Fans who played Sparking Zero from its Early Access release say that the issue has been present ever since then, so it has taken the developers quite a while to respond. But hopefully, now that the bug is under investigation players can expect a solution to follow soon.
Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam).
