Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster’s new Resident Evil 4 costumes cover Frank West in a sack and a miniskirt

If dressing Frank West as Mega Man Battle Network’s Lan Hikari and the Resident Evil 2 remake’s Licker wasn’t strange enough, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster ups the ante with its Chainsaw Villager and Ashley Graham DLC costumes. Based on their appearances in the Resident Evil 4 remake, these cosmetics give Frank two very different but equally radical makeovers.

The Chainsaw Villager costume is based on the Resident Evil 4 remake’s Chainsaw Ganado enemy variant. Sporting the character’s iconic burlap sack over his head, Frank can freely chop up zombies with a chainsaw in the Willamette Parkview Mall without others judging him. Though it may seem like a 1:1 port of the Resident Evil 4 enemy model, Frank’s blue eyes (seen through the sack’s eyeholes) are a stark contrast to the Chainsaw Ganado’s larger, blood-curdled ones.

Accompanying the Chainsaw Villager costume is the track called “The Drive – Remake ver.”, with the last part of the song title alluding to its use in the Resident Evil 4 remake. This song plays at the start of the game as Leon is chauffeured by the local police force to the village where Ashley Graham is supposed to have been spotted.

Speaking of Ashley Graham, her great fashion sense isn’t lost on Frank West. With the Ashley Graham costume equipped, Frank sports the Resident Evil 4 remake protagonist’s iconic outfit consisting of an orange blazer, red scarf, knee-high boots, stockings, and green miniskirt. He even goes the extra mile to complete Ashley’s look by donning a blonde wig – something he should have used in his Leon Kennedy cosplay.

Ashley might have been a student during the events of Resident Evil 4, but Frank West’s dedication to her look and his eye for photography might make Ashley want to consider a career in photojournalism. The Ashley Graham costume comes with the “Save Theme – Mellow Nightscape Mix” track, which is a unique track that can be played in save rooms in the Resident Evil 4 remake.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Resident Evil 4 costumes

While these aren’t the last of the costumes planned for the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, they are some of the most striking ones. Running around a zombie-infested mall dressed as a crazed Spanish villager or a female college student is bound to be on some people’s bucket lists, and these DLC costumes will help fulfill those wishes.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is scheduled to be released on September 19 for the PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
