Like a Dragon: Yakuza live-action adaptation to premiere on October 24

Like a Dragon: Yakuza

RGG Studio and Amazon Prime Video have announced an original live-action series based on the Like a Dragon video game series. The crime-suspense-action series titled Like a Dragon: Yakuza is set to premiere worldwide on Amazon Prime Video from October 24, 2024. 

The upcoming series will be directed by acclaimed Japanese film director Masaharu Take, and will “follow the life, childhood friends, and repercussions of the decisions of Kazuma Kiryu.” Like a Dragon: Yakuza will cast Ryoma Takeuchi as Kazuma Kiryu. 

Masayoshi Yokoyama, the director of RGG Studio, has commented that the new live-action adaptation will “become another landmark release for the Like a Dragon series.”
