Call of Duty x Gundam crossover is coming in MW3 Season 4

It has been announced that Gundam will feature in a collaboration with Call of Duty. The Japanese mechas will be marching into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Season 4, which is set to launch on May 29.

A cryptic teaser trailer dropped by the official YouTube Gundam Channel on May 20 shows the shadow of a Gundam against a Japanese pachinko parlor building. The Gundam seems to resemble the original RX-78-2 that first appeared in the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. It’s not yet known what specific perks the collaboration will bring but considering past COD crossovers, players can probably expect some classic Gundam-themed skins and weapon blueprints, in a similar vein to last month’s Godzilla x Kong collab

In response to the announcement, some Japanese Gundam fans expressed hopes that the mechas would feature in collabs with other video games, like Powerwash Simulator. Hosing down a giant Gundam would be quite satisfying.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Season 4 is scheduled to start on May 29.
