Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE+ will support 4K graphics and reduce loading times
Spike Chunsoft released new information about Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE+ on May 9. The game will significantly reduce loading times, support 4K graphics and will come with a new Gallery Mode.
Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE+ is an enhanced ported version of Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE, which was released in June 2023 for the Nintendo Switch. The game is set to launch for the PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X❘S on July 18 in Japan and October 1 in the West.
Coming from Kazutaka Kodaka, the creator of the Danganronpa series, RAIN CODE sold 300,000 copies in one month after its release, earning praise for its story and gameplay. However, the game was also criticized for sluggish loading times, which was addressed in a subsequent update in November 2023.
The ported version, RAIN CODE+, will make several enhancements and additions to the original game, the biggest of which is the option to play in 4K. Details and shadows will be enhanced, making for more immersive cityscapes and improved character graphics. Another significant change in RAIN CODE+ are its reduced loading times. In addition, all five substories released as DLC for the Nintendo Switch version will be included. A new Gallery Mode will allow players to revisit cinematics and listen to the BGM.
Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE+ is scheduled to release for the PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X❘S on July 18 in Japan and October 1 in the West. The Western release will support English and Japanese voiceovers, as well as English, Japanese, French, Italian, German and Spanish text.

I am very excited for this. I played it on Switch and noticed the load issues were not the best. I could only go through 2 chapters before I decided to wait for PC instead. The only bad part is the release date is near Metaphor in the West. But I think Master Detective will do solid with it’s extras and enhancements. Especially with smooth 60fps.
