Palworld player demonstrates how to play the game Subway Surfer style

In what they call a “demonstration for Palworld beginners,” a Japanese Palworld player shared their genius (and adrenaline rush-inducing) way of power sliding into bed on time. The video has since gone viral, as users express awe at the elaborate and humongous structure the player built to execute the stunt, which is almost reminiscent of a Temple Run or Sonic Adventure stage.

The night is near…the night is dangerous!! I have to get to bed quickly!!!
I tried using sliding (by pressing crouch while sprinting). The sense of speed is exhilarating!!

Though it’s not mentioned in the game’s tutorial, Palworld allows you to slide – a useful and cool-looking way to get around quickly. Sliding can be done by inputting the command for crouching while your character is sprinting.

In the video shown above, X user Take gives a master class in the movement, sliding their way down a colossal multi-level structure only to plop directly into bed, just in time to catch their Zs as the night falls.

At the end of each of the long, steep slopes (which seem to have been designed specifically for the purpose of cool sliding action), the player bounces off into the air and aims for the next ramp. At one point, they need to land in a small opening in the middle of a huge stone wall to continue the descent, and even take some damage upon successfully landing.

Post translation: (An introduction to base building)
A place where people live. A place where Pals live – a base. I built mine carefully, luxuriously and I went big. (If you’re in a slump with your base, use this as reference!)

In a past post, Take shared an aerial view of their massive base, which can barely fit into view, even from a great distance. They provide details on the build, mentioning that it took about 20,000 stone and 5,000 metal, as well as large volumes of other materials. The whole thing apparently took 20 hours to complete. Furthermore, as the base was built on a mountain, constructing foundations on the uneven terrain was a big challenge. Their tip for players aspiring to make large fortresses is to go big vertically, as you can only expand your base horizontally to a limited degree, while building upwards has basically no restrictions.

Although they were met with a lot of joking “what part of this is for beginners?” responses, the player’s creative feats are another example of the varied gameplay Palworld allows. The game’s high degree of freedom is definitely a big contributor to its popularity.

Palworld is available for the PC (Steam), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
