Analyze clues on social media to solve the mystery of a missing k-pop idol in upcoming Japanese indie game 

Annulus announced the release of Pricolage -IDOLIZED- on February 19 for the PC (Steam). The announcement was followed by the release of a new trailer. The game will be available in English. 

Pricolage -IDOLIZED- is an adventure game in which you pursue the truth behind the disappearance of a popular female idol by searching for clues on social media. The heroine Sena is a member of the K-pop idol group 7uster. Sena made her debut through the audition program Seven Angels. She is a naïve but kind-hearted and hardworking person, who became an idol to fulfill her dream of making people smile. However, at the peak of her popularity, Sena goes missing. As the protagonist, you search and collect information that can lead to her, investigating the dark crevices of the internet. Your pursuit will also reveal Sena’s true face, which she has kept hidden from the public.  

 
You look through the many posts left by Sena on an Instagram-like social media platform and analyze photos to discover keywords. These key words can be input as hashtags or looked up via search engine to uncover vital information. You will come across her reports of finding curious objects on her way home, as well as posts by users trying to dox her. Pricolage -IDOLIZED- will have 6 different endings, some of which will have gruesome outcomes. 

The developer of the game is Japanese indie creator Hijiki, who has previously released the horror adventure game Palphone-sama: Curse Call, in which you investigate Twitter accounts and websites that exist in real life to get to the bottom of an urban legend. 

Pricolage -IDOLIZED- was announced in July 2023 and was initially set for release in October, but the launch has been postponed to February 2024 so that additional improvements can be made to the game. The developer created the game in order examine   what it means to be an idol, exploring the light and the dark sides that accompany the career.
