When Konami Digital Entertainment dropped Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel<\/strong><\/em> on January 19, the game had a very promising start by surpassing the concurrent player numbers of any Konami title on Steam (related article<\/a>). And now the game has hit another major milestone by passing the 10 million total downloads mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel<\/em> is the latest digital version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCT\/TCG<\/em> where players can duel using the Master Rules. In addition to having over 10,000 cards and 4k resolution support on certain devices, the game features cross-platform multiplayer matches and a Solo Mode with stories to complete. The game initially released on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on January 19. This was followed by iOS and Android releases on January 27 in Japan and 10 other countries, and a global release on February 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel<\/em>\u00a0has also been receiving a very positive reception from players and fans. While surpassing 10 million downloads can possibly be attributed to the fact that it\u2019s a free-to-play title, the game has also been maintaining high concurrent player numbers and buzz on social media. According to SteamDB<\/a>, we can see Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel<\/em> consistently reaching peak concurrent player counts of over 130,000 with strong Twitch viewership as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of January 27, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel<\/em> had been downloaded a total of 4 million times, with another 6 million downloads coming in just the following 10 days alone, a number likely bolstered by the mobile releases in late January and early February. With critical acclaim, solid player numbers, and cross-platform multiplayer matches, Yu-Gi-Oh!<\/em> fans have a lot to be excited about with Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And to celebrate passing the 10 million mark, Konami has announced<\/a> plans for an in-game campaign where players will receive 1,000 gems for logging in between February 7 and March 31.
