Former Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio producer Daisuke Sato has also joined him as a board member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The studio was established on November 1 of last year and is located in Ebisu, Tokyo. Nagoshi Studio is 100% funded by NetEase Games. Nagoshi was the head of Sega\u2019s Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the studio behind <em>Yakuza<\/em>, <em>Judgment<\/em>, and the <em>Super Monkey Ball<\/em> series. Sato was known as one of the producers of the <em>Yakuza <\/em>series. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-08-30\/china-s-netease-in-talks-to-hire-creator-of-sega-yakuza-series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a> reported back in August of 2021 that Nagoshi was in talks to join NetEase. Now their joint endeavor is official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other members at the new studio include former <em>Judgment<\/em> producer Kazuki Hosokawa, former <em>Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania<\/em> producer Masao Shirosaki, and former<em> Judgment <\/em>art director Naoki Someya. The \u201cdesired skills and experience\u201d section in the job description of some job openings mention \u201cprior experience in Unreal Engine,\u201d so maybe they\u2019re considering using Unreal Engine for their projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although it is not clear what kinds of games they&#8217;re working on,\u00a0Nagoshi mentioned in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.famitsu.com\/news\/202201\/24248030.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Famitsu<\/a> that they want to make games that would fit with or that are ahead of the times.
