According to the report, the company&#8217;s 3D dungeon-crawling RPG <strong>Wizardy Variants Daphne<\/strong> is outperforming itself even as it enters its third year of live services.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the first half of the fiscal year, the game saw revenue grow by 12.9% year-on-year. Not only that, but the developers expect monthly revenue for October \u2013 during which they launched 2nd anniversary campaign content for the game \u2013 to surpass a record high at around 1.5 billion yen (approximately $9.5 million USD). According to the report, the game&#8217;s profitability has also continued to improve thanks to efforts to reduce the amount of money trickling to platform holders via transaction fees (<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/wizardry-variants-daphne-developer-drecom-says-wider-adoption-of-payment-methods-that-bypass-high-apple-and-google-fees-helped-increase-profit-margins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">such as Google and Apple&#8217;s commission<\/a>). Cumulative downloads surpassed 4 million in August this year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding Wizardy Variants Daphne&#8217;s playerbase, Drecom says it has succeeded in retaining existing users while incentivizing dormant players to come back, leading to an overall increase in active players. Average revenue per user has also increased year-on-year, though not quite meeting the company&#8217;s targets.
