A genderbent version of Japanese diplomat Ono no Imoko was set as the heroine, and it was revealed that the story of the game would take place in modern-day Nara, depicting the high school lives of many important figures in Japan\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dubbed a \u201csuper ancient otome game,\u201d Nara\u2606Koi earned quite the following online thanks to its bizarre concept, and the fact that all of the characters (except the protagonist) were \u201cportait-accurate\u201d renditions of the respective figures they were based on. The production and scenario of the game were handled by Aonimaru, while the illustrations were drawn by Bakkinu.
