Console versions are set to be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main twist of LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeons comes as simply as the name implies \u2013 in that the game\u2019s dungeon-crawling party members are all inspired by literary classics such as Alice in Wonderland, Romeo and Juliet, Dante\u2019s Inferno, and The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe. Exploring book-inspired dungeons, players must fight their way out of increasingly dangerous expeditions whilst managing precious resources and making decisions on the fly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1525\" height=\"852\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1525px) 100vw, 1525px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/20261002-73293-001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-73297\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/20261002-73293-001.jpg 1525w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/20261002-73293-001-380x212.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/20261002-73293-001-768x429.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking a page out of similar titles in the genre such as Darkest Dungeon, LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeons features a mental health value called Pathos, separate from the more conventional HP value. Taking too many hits in succession will reduce the girl\u2019s HP and Pathos, which is represented by their clothes and armor being stripped away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Low Pathos can gradually interfere with their ability to fight or act in certain ways, with the trailer showing one of the party members affected firing off a spell that damages herself and her allies instead of the enemy. Balancing the two values will be key in surviving expeditions, lest the girls suffer a complete mental breakdown tantamount to death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1527\" height=\"858\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1527px) 100vw, 1527px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/20261002-73293-002.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-73298\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/20261002-73293-002.jpg 1527w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/20261002-73293-002-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/20261002-73293-002-767x431.jpg 767w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeons is created by Nanairo Enterprise, the developers behind the similarly risqu\u00e9 roguelike tower defense shooter title Turret Girls. Notably, Raven, one of the playable characters in that game, reappears in LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeons as a party member. The game additionally features music composed by Yoshitaka Hirota, whose most notable works include the soundtrack to the Shadow Hearts series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeon is set to launch in the first half of 2027 on Steam, available in English, Japanese, and Chinese (Traditional\/Simplified), with additional language support to be added in the future. The release of the game\u2019s console versions will be announced later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeons -
