During Tokyo Game Show 2026, Koei Tecmo announced SophieChat:AI<\/strong>, an AI chat game co-developed by SpiralAI and Gust. This follows the release of the Atelier Ryza-themed chat game RyzaChat:AI<\/a> not long ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming SophieChat:AI is an AI-powered free-scenario style RPG set in the world of Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream. Players can go on adventures in Erde Wiege, perform alchemy, participate in battles, or just casually talk with protagonist Sophie Neuenmuller. The format seems to largely follow that of RyzaChat: AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the live presentation, Yuka Aisaka, who voices Sophie and provided voice recordings for the new title’s voice synthesis, demonstrated some of the gameplay in a development build. Artist NOCO, who was one of the lead character illustrators for Atelier Sophie, also shared a comment, announcing that they were in charge of Sophie’s expressions and outfits in the new app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back when Ryza:Chat AI was first announced, SpiralAI and Gust promised that the game came with no AI-generated graphical assets<\/a> and used voice synthesis based on recordings created specifically for the game by the original voice actress. Additionally, they explained that the game’s dialogue was created using a proprietary LLM trained on official in-game scenarios and data SpiralAI was legally authorized to use. Finally, they stated that revenue from the game would be shared with the illustrators and voice actors, aiming to ensure responsible use of AI. Fans of the series, however, were still divided on the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
