Dragami Games has announced Lollipop Chainsaw Back2Back<\/strong>, a sequel to 2012\u2019s Lollipop Chainsaw. Original protagonist Juliet Starling will return in the leading role, clad in a new outfit and wielding \u201ceven more power.\u201d The game is set to release in 2027 for PlayStation 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the first time Dragami Games has revealed the title of the zombie hack-and-slash series’ new successor. The project was first teased in July 2025<\/a>, when the developer announced it would be collaborating with Taiwan-based investment company Nada Holdings to produce a brand-new game and anime based on the Lollipop Chainsaw IP. At the time, Nada Holdings said it would be bringing back some of the development staff from the original 2012 title, though it did not specify any names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Juliet returns to a rebuilt San Romero, now transformed into \u201cJaredwood,\u201d a sprawling metropolis built around the film industry. When a mysterious director traps her inside his twisted zombie movie, Juliet must fight alongside her allies, uncover the conspiracy behind the chaos, and stop a new threat posed by the Corrupted Realm zombies.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To commemorate the new game\u2019s announcement and its own second anniversary, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP (a 2024 remaster of the original) will be on sale for a limited time. The Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions are on sale from September 17 at 12 AM UTC to October 15 at 11:59 PM UTC. The Steam version is on sale from September 16 at 5 PM UTC to September 30 at 5 PM UTC. Sale periods for the PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and GOG versions are set to begin soon as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
