Director cites strong physical PS5 sales and Xbox Game Pass availability"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the launch of Game Freak\u2019s brand-new action RPG <strong>Beast of Reincarnation<\/strong> in August, game director and scenario writer Kota Furushima recently talked to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.famitsu.com\/article\/202609\/86078\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Famitsu<\/a> about the game\u2019s reception and future roadmap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While Beast of Reincarnation was met with somewhat mixed critical reception, according to Furushima, it has been reaching many players worldwide through Xbox Game Pass, while sales of the physical PS5 edition have also been strong. The director says \u201cthe game was played by far more people than imagined\u201d considering it\u2019s a completely new IP, though the unexpected numbers also made sorting through feedback more demanding than the team had anticipated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While he\u2019s happy about the reception, Furushima says he\u2019s very much aware of criticism regarding Beast of Reincarnation&#8217;s playability, controls, pacing and tutorials. There\u2019s already been a number of updates since launch to address complaints from players, but it seems the development team plans to continue rolling out improvements to address all the remaining issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1402\" height=\"785\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1402px) 100vw, 1402px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/20260909-721570-001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-72160\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/20260909-721570-001.jpg 1402w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/20260909-721570-001-380x213.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/20260909-721570-001-768x430.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the immediate future, the team is considering expanding the ability to skip events and cutscenes.
