The game is doing so well that <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/nippon-ichi-software-expects-to-fully-bounce-back-to-profitability-thanks-to-the-overwhelming-success-of-village-in-the-shade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nippon Ichi Software revised its consolidated financial forecast<\/a> for the fiscal year ending March 2027. However, the village has \u201csecrets\u201d and \u201crules\u201d which must not be broken (such as not going out at night), lest you discover the darker side of the settlement and its citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While there are some horror-esque elements, the <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/interviews\/nippon-ichi-softwares-new-rural-life-sim-village-in-the-shade-will-focus-on-creating-unease-instead-of-classic-horror-tropes-but-cozy-gamers-wont-be-left-out-eithe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">developers have told us<\/a> that the game focuses more on the \u201cuncanniness\u201d of Kagatsu and the hints of folk horror surrounding it.
