Centineo described the story as a \u201cnon-Shakespearean\u00a0Romeo and Juliet\u201d that takes place in the Universal Century timeline.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Noah Centineo on UNION COUNTY, TO ALL THE BOYS, STREET FIGHTER, his bad INTERSTELLAR audition, more!\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3ofP1KcWijM?start=3657&amp;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the\u00a0first and\u00a0primary timeline of the franchise, the Universal Century (U.C.) timeline is the setting for many Gundam works. These include famous entries like the original Mobile Suit Gundam,\u00a0Zeta Gundam,\u00a0Char\u2019s Counterattack, and\u00a0the Hathaway\u2019s\u00a0flash\u00a0series\u00a0among others.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Centineo did not mention when in the timeline Netflix\u2019s live-action Gundam movie takes place, nor did he say which (if any) familiar characters will be making an appearance. However, he reiterated a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/noah-centineo-gundman-sydney-sweeney-legendary-1236433585\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2025 Legendary Pictures statement<\/a>&nbsp;that the plot would revolve around Sydney Sweeney\u2019s&nbsp;character&nbsp;and his character\u2019s&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;as two lovers on opposite sides of an ongoing war,&nbsp;with&nbsp;the opposing sides&nbsp;most likely being&nbsp;the Earth Federation Forces and&nbsp;the Principality of Zeon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noah Centineo has made a name for himself starring in roles such as&nbsp;Peter Kavinsky&nbsp;in Netflix\u2019s&nbsp;To&nbsp;All the Boys&nbsp;films.
