Nexon Games announced<\/a> on August 13 that it has taken disciplinary action against players of Blue Archive\u2019s<\/strong> global version who have been abusing the game\u2019s mechanics “to gain an unfair advantage.” A total of 122,046 accounts were permanently banned, with the developer saying they \u201cwill never tolerate illegal programs under any circumstances as they may potentially harm the game’s environment and other players.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blue Archive\u2019s global servers go through regular cheater crackdowns, many of which are focused on the game\u2019s Total Assault and Grand Assault modes. However, while previous ban periods resulted in roughly 2-digit permanent account suspensions, this latest drop of the ban hammer has by far the biggest numbers in Blue Archive\u2019s recent history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the announcement did not go into specifics, the phrasing of the announcement led some to believe that the bans have something to do with Blue Archive\u2019s Tactical Challenge (PvP) and Total Assault (Solo Raid) modes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tactical Challenge lets players pit their students (characters) against other players and NPCs in automated battles, while Total Assault has players competing in bi-weekly events to see who can defeat a Raid Boss the fastest. Winning in either of these modes unlocks in-game rewards to boost your students and account, which makes them likely targets for cheaters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blue Archive is available for PC (Steam<\/a>), iOS, and Android.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
