While pursuing legal options, the staff has also run into internal struggles, including <a href=\"https:\/\/news.denfaminicogamer.jp\/news\/260615u\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the withdrawal of one of the lead actors, Masakazu Arai<\/a> in June, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/428-shibuya-scramble-creator-jiro-ishii-announces-emergency-hospitalization-assures-fans-successor-game-remains-on-track\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recent emergency hospitalization of director Jiro Ishii<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite these setbacks, Skeleton Crew seems to remain optimistic about the game\u2019s future. Ishii assured fans that his hospital stay would be a short one, and that he was eager to get back to work in the coming weeks. The website remains offline at the time of this writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shibuya Scramble Stories is envisioned as a spiritual successor to Chunsoft\u2019s Machi and 428: Shibuya Scramble, the latter of which was also created by Ishii.
