The project\u00a0surpassed its\u00a0initial\u00a0target goal of 10 million JPY (roughly $62 thousand\u00a0USD)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/428-shibuya-scrambles-spiritual-successor-led-by-jiro-ishii-crowdfunds-60k-usd-in-62-minutes-in-its-second-round-of-crowdfunding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">after only 62 minutes<\/a>, and\u00a0currently has $162 thousand USD in funding.\u00a0He attributed the success of the campaign to his staff and cast, all of whom\u00a0are\u00a0working hard in his absence.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While Ishii&nbsp;won\u2019t&nbsp;return to work until the end of July at the earliest, he humbly asks fans to continue supporting the game and its crowdfunding campaign.&nbsp;Until then, fans are&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/laceheel_blue\/status\/2076984893897363680?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wishing&nbsp;for his quick recovery<\/a>&nbsp;and hope to see him soon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shibuya Scramble Stories is currently in development.
