The campaign has\u00a0amassed\u00a020.56\u00a0million JPY (over $120 thousand USD)\u00a0at the time of writing\u00a0and will continue accepting support\u00a0for its first phase\u00a0until July 31.\u00a0A second phase is scheduled to take place from September 1 to September 30,\u00a0once all funds from the first phase have been secured by the developers.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u30b7\u30d6\u30e4\u30b9\u30af\u30e9\u30f3\u30d6\u30eb\u30b9\u30c8\u30fc\u30ea\u30fc\u30ba\u3000\u30c6\u30a3\u30b6\u30fc\u30e0\u30fc\u30d3\u30fc\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/icOudAb7mDY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second crowdfunding campaign was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/428-shibuya-scrambles-spiritual-successor-to-launch-second-round-of-crowdfunding-after-overwhelming-demand-for-revival-of-sold-out-reward-tiers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">born out of overwhelming demand for the sold-out reward tiers<\/a>&nbsp;of the first campaign.&nbsp;Director Jiro Ishii said that while the original plan was to launch the campaign&nbsp;as early as&nbsp;April 28,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/japanese-crowdfunded-340k-game-still-missing-half-its-funds-as-platform-claims-it-accidentally-sent-the-money-elsewhere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">missing funds&nbsp;issues&nbsp;with Ubgoe<\/a>&nbsp;(which hosted the first campaign)&nbsp;led the developers to&nbsp;postpone the second campaign\u2019s launch while they searched&nbsp;for a new crowdfunding platform.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now that the second campaign has found a home on Campfire,&nbsp;Skeleton Crew Studio and Jiro Ishii are focused on improving the&nbsp;live-action visual novel\u2019s sound production and getting their ideal casting roles&nbsp;(the five main cast members have already been&nbsp;finalized, however).&nbsp;As mentioned,&nbsp;the team&nbsp;is implementing a two-phase&nbsp;crowdfunding campaign&nbsp;this time&nbsp;to prevent funds from being misplaced.&nbsp;Only when&nbsp;all of&nbsp;the funds&nbsp;from the first phase&nbsp;have been secured&nbsp;will the team move on to the second phase.&nbsp;Should any&nbsp;major issues&nbsp;arise during the collection of the funds from the first phase by the end of August, the team will implement \u201crisk management measures\u201d to cancel or postpone the second phase.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When it comes to rewards, many of the tiers featured in the first campaign make a return, such as the ability to appear as an extra in the game and having your own writing be featured in the&nbsp;game\u2019s&nbsp;\u201cTips\u201d section.&nbsp;Those who supported the first campaign&nbsp;don\u2019t&nbsp;need to worry about their rewards being changed if they support the second one, as the rewards for both campaigns are separate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u6e0b\u8c37\u5b9f\u5199ADV\u30d5\u309a\u30ed\u30e2\u30fc\u30b7\u30e7\u30f3\u30d2\u3099\u30c6\u3099\u30aa\uff08\u30d5\u30eb\u30d0\u30fc\u30b8\u30e7\u30f3\uff09\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LawwXocGq8w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spiritual successor to Spike Chunsoft\u2019s 428: Shibuya Scramble,&nbsp;Shibuya Scramble Stories&nbsp;is an ensemble-style visual novel that&nbsp;features several returning cast members and developers, such as actors Fumio Kitagami and Kousei Amano and director and lead writer Jiro Ishii.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shibuya Scramble Stories is currently in development.
