According to The Nikkei, the initiative is aimed at supporting DeNA\u2019s mobile development business and encouraging the creation of large-scale content with the potential for global success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apparently, this comes as DeNA was chosen to be a part of the Japanese government\u2019s IP360 program, which is meant to provide funding for the creation of new domestic IPs, and boost the competitiveness of Japan\u2019s content industry in the global market. Specifically, DeNA was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meti.go.jp\/policy\/mono_info_service\/contents\/2026\/saitaku\/list.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">listed as one of the companies<\/a> selected for the first round of subsidies in the category of \u201cgeneral support for large-scale production,\u201d alongside major developers like SEGA, Konami, Square Enix, Koei Tecmo and Arc System Works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, shortly after its publication, METI\u2019s announcement concerning DeNA was met with a wave of criticism on the Japanese side of X.
