Star Wars fans may spot the graffiti on the moon map, declaring \u201cHAM SHOT FURST\u201d, a nod to the controversial scene in the film, <em>Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope<\/em>, where (depending on the cut you see as canon) Han Solo fired the first shot at bounty hunter, Greedo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bentley also mentions Gavin Yastremski, his colleague at the time, had a blast inserting references to <em>The Legend of Zelda <\/em>into <em>Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare<\/em>, going so far as to putting a silhouette of the Outset Island from <em>The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker<\/em> into the game\u2019s background.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Marvel&#039;s Spider-Man PS4 - Pizza Time Theme Song Easter Egg\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XtP3ktCIzVg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Alex Previty, Sound Designer at SIE, shares an Easter egg from his time at Insomniac Games, hidden within <em>Marvel\u2019s Spider-Man<\/em>. Set in Manhattan, the game features several pizzerias you can visit. If you were a fan of the PlayStation 2 game, <em>Spider-Man 2<\/em>, you may recognize the pizza delivery theme \u201cFunicul\u00ec, Funicul\u00e0\u201d being played every time you pop into a random pizza store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, indie games developer, David Wehle, discloses an Easter egg in <em>The First Tree<\/em> (2018) in its most literal sense. There are multiple rabbits in the first stage of the game and when you touch all of them, a giant rabbit appears with a rainbow-colored egg at its feet. If you touch the egg, you\u2019ll be transported to the developers\u2019 test level. All the characters illustrated in this casino-themed boss stage are skeletons and the two could be difficult to spot amongst all the other bony beings. Though if you look closely, you can see the resemblance between the skeletal lady\u2019s dress and the one worn by Princess Serenity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is widely known among fans that <em>TimeSplitters 2<\/em> is fully playable on a native 4k port on the in-game arcade machine within <em>HOMEFRONT: the Revolution<\/em>. Lead Programmer, Matt Phillips, explains that the co-operative play mode can technically be booted if anyone is able to hack two or more arcades. Although, it is unclear if it really is accessible since there are no dedicated servers for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jonathan Cooper, an animator whose work includes the <em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed<\/em> series, had put a bit of the popular Ubisoft series into Naughty Dog\u2019s <em>Uncharted 4: A Thief&#8217;s End<\/em> and <em>Uncharted: The Lost Legacy <\/em>when he worked on the projects. The slow camera pan and atmospheric music that kick in when you reach certain high grounds mimic the iconic \u201cViewpoint Synchronization\u201d mechanic in the <em>Assassin\u2019s Creed<\/em> series. Ricardo Gonzalez, Senior UI Programmer at Bethesda Game Studios, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/socrates200X\/status\/1378827748454567937\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">included his initials in the terminal list of <em>Fallout 76<\/em><\/a>. As a child, he had always wanted to score Number 1 on an arcade leaderboard but since he never did, he realized his dream (in a way) by putting his initials as first place in the role-playing game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, Brian Keschinger, Technical Game Designer formerly at NetherRealm Studios, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BrianMakesGames\/status\/1378800138123116544\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">had his nieces\u2019 names included in the list of scanned \u201clocal databases\u201d<\/a> on Terminator\u2019s victory screen in <em>Mortal Kombat 11<\/em>.
