Publisher Shueisha Games<\/strong> has announced that it is soliciting new game proposals from creators regardless of game development experience. Successful proposals will be backed by the company, which will handle development costs, hiring assistance, QA and promotional support, sales, marketing, and localization. In short, Shueisha Games will provide full support as a publisher, closely working alongside creators throughout their projects\u2019 development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, Shueisha Games encourages those with no game development experience to submit a proposal. Proposals will be judged based on three criteria: a unique personality that no one can replicate, a unique idea that no one has thought of, and a quality that stands out among similar works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those looking to apply can send their game proposal along with a portfolio showcasing their past creative work via the official Shueisha Games webpage<\/a>. Though you only need those two to submit a proposal, games that are already in development can also be submitted (you will have to include production materials such as your current build, any trailers, specifications, scripts, and setting documents). All application data can be sent in Japanese or English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be worth noting that while copyrights and other intellectual property rights submitted for the proposals belong to their respective applicants, Shueisha Games isn\u2019t prohibited from creating, selling, or using media that is unintentionally identical or similar to the submitted content. While applicants agree not to claim this media is similar to their content, they can raise an argument if it looks like Shueisha Games intentionally based its work on submitted proposals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
