The town\u2019s citizens are&nbsp;just as&nbsp;bizarre. Unable to die, they have taken to calling themselves \u201cGhosts\u201d and creating what they envision is an ideal utopia for their kind.&nbsp;But Sayoko is not a&nbsp;Ghost, nor does she belong&nbsp;to&nbsp;the town.&nbsp;Motivated by the appearance of a new Ghost called&nbsp;Yoru,&nbsp;she plots her escape in hopes that she can make it back home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1682\" height=\"939\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1682px) 100vw, 1682px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260514-66692-header.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-66695\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260514-66692-header.jpg 1682w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260514-66692-header-380x212.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260514-66692-header-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260514-66692-header-1536x857.jpg 1536w\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Yoru and Sayoko, as seen in Ghostpia Season One<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The combination of children\u2019s book-like graphics&nbsp;with glitchy and static&nbsp;effects&nbsp;has&nbsp;the developers&nbsp;calling the game\u2019s art style \u201cdenshi\u201d (\u201celectric\u201d&nbsp;or&nbsp;\u201cdigital\u201d) in nature. Though the game may look&nbsp;cute at first&nbsp;glance, it&nbsp;tackles some dark subject matter.&nbsp;Judging by&nbsp;the&nbsp;Season Two teaser, the sequel seems to have&nbsp;retained&nbsp;the&nbsp;original\u2019s&nbsp;Denshi art style, complete with&nbsp;staticky&nbsp;effects.&nbsp;Sayoko\u2019s&nbsp;bloodstained appearance also suggests that her journey will be taking a dark (if not darker) turn this time around.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ghostpia&nbsp;Season One includes the&nbsp;game\u2019s&nbsp;first five episodes, four of which were released for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ghostpia.xyz\/en\/play\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">browsers<\/a>&nbsp;and phones. A fifth episode was included in the Nintendo&nbsp;Switch version, which&nbsp;was&nbsp;released in 2023.
