Currently standing as the second longest suspension bridge in the world, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge was recreated in the game using approximately 530,000 blocks. The world is being distributed for Bedrock as \u201ceducational material for learning about bridge infrastructure management in a fun way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u660e\u77f3\u6d77\u5ce1\u5927\u6a4b\u3092\u5b88\u308b\u304a\u4ed5\u4e8b\u2212\u30de\u30a4\u30f3\u30af\u30e9\u30d5\u30c8\u3067\u6a4b\u306e\u7ba1\u7406\u3092\u52c9\u5f37\u3057\u3088\u3046\uff01\u2212\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MQT_IGYpzGA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the full-scale recreation of the bridge, which helps you get a feel for its actual size and structure, the Minecraft map also features inspection equipment and depicts the surrounding cityscape. By completing assignments within the world, players can experience the process of bridge inspection. Inside, there was a reception desk, and after approaching it, I was asked if I wanted to try out inspecting bridges. The four \u201cstages\u201d available were bridge girder, main tower, inspection walkway and deck, and it seemed like you could check out the stages in your preferred order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first stage I chose was the deck stage. In it, players can experience tasks such as photographing abnormalities in the bridge\u2019s expansion joints, and picking up trash from the road. Using the interior maintenance vehicles, I inspected the area beneath the deck, checking for signs of deterioration and taking photos of them. In the main tower stage, I rode a magnetic wheel gondola up and down the sides of the tower, taking care of rusted areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260513-665580006.jpg\" alt=\"Akashi Kaikyo Bridge Minecraft map\" class=\"wp-image-66567\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260513-665580006.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260513-665580006-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260513-665580006-768x432.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, in the girder stage I got to operate the exterior girder maintenance vehicles. If I came across any abnormalities, I had to take photos of them and report them. Going through all these different tasks made me truly appreciate the work of the inspectors who do this on a daily basis, as well as the importance of infrastructure maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260513-665580007.jpg\" alt=\"Akashi Kaikyo Bridge Minecraft map\" class=\"wp-image-66568\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260513-665580007.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260513-665580007-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260513-665580007-768x432.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On a related note, last year, Japan\u2019s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT)<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/japans-government-just-dropped-a-huge-free-minecraft-map-and-its-cooler-than-you-think\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recreated the \u201cMetropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel,\u201d<\/a> the world\u2019s largest underground flood control facility, in Minecraft.
