In addition to dropping some rhythmical truths in the game\u2019s theme song, aptly titled \u201cStranger Than Heaven,\u201d Snoop also plays an integral role in the story as the smuggler Orpheus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"STRANGER THAN HEAVEN | Cast &amp; Story Reveal Trailer\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ngsGt-IKxvo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While definitely not a name one would expect to see on the soundtrack, Snoop isn\u2019t the only singer who performs the theme song. He is joined by Ado, Official Hige Dandism\u2019s Sosuke Fujihara and American singer Tori Kelly. All of the artists mentioned also play characters in Stranger Than Heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A prequel to the Yakuza\/Like A Dragon series, Stranger Than Heaven follows American-Japanese protagonist Makoto Daito as he leaves the U.S.A. in search of greener pastures in Japan. After stowing away on a ship alongside the stranger Yu Shinjo, they are discovered by the captain Orpheus (played by Snoop Dogg), who takes Daito under his wing as they engage in legally questionable activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260507-6630200001.jpg\" alt=\"Kamurocho. \" class=\"wp-image-66305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260507-6630200001.jpg 960w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260507-6630200001-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260507-6630200001-768x432.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Stranger Than Heaven takes place over the course of several time periods, including 1915\u2019s Kokura, Fukuoka, 1929\u2019s Kure, Hiroshima, 1943\u2019s Minami, Osaka, 1951\u2019s Atami, Shizuoka, and 1965\u2019s Kamurocho, Tokyo (the last of which serves as one of the main locations for the Like A Dragon games).
