New teaser unveils robust worldbuilding\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>South Korean developer Dynamis One and publisher NC&nbsp;have launched&nbsp;a teaser video and official website for the upcoming RPG<strong>&nbsp;Astrae&nbsp;Oratio&nbsp;<\/strong>(officially shortened to \u201cAsora\u201d)<strong>.&nbsp;<\/strong>According to the teaser, the title is set to launch in 2026.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the developers&nbsp;haven\u2019t&nbsp;yet lifted the veil on characters and gameplay, the newly released information is loaded with&nbsp;hints about the concept and setting, both of which seem&nbsp;quite&nbsp;fascinating at this point.&nbsp;The world (or one of the worlds)&nbsp;Astrae&nbsp;Oratio\u2019s&nbsp;story takes&nbsp;place&nbsp;in is&nbsp;1889 Tokyo, or the 9<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;year of the fictional&nbsp;Reisei&nbsp;Era.&nbsp;The timeline might be deceptive though,&nbsp;as&nbsp;it\u2019s&nbsp;described as a&nbsp;\u201ca&nbsp;world where technology, culture, and civilization are intricately intertwined, accelerating nearly a hundred years beyond what we know today.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"[Astrae Oratio] Super Teaser PV\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4-FFdY8En-w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Having achieved unprecedented postwar economic growth, Tokyo was selected as the host of the next \u201cExpo\u201d&nbsp;over its rival Kyoto,&nbsp;and is&nbsp;in the midst of&nbsp;a&nbsp;development boom, with the construction of the Tokyo Tower soon to be completed.&nbsp;This has led to&nbsp;a&nbsp;growing population, which seems to tie into&nbsp;Astrae&nbsp;Oratio\u2019s&nbsp;magic element too,&nbsp;as&nbsp;the teaser states, \u201cThe power of&nbsp;magic is proportional to the scale of human life. In other words,&nbsp;the&nbsp;larger a city&#8217;s population, the greater its magic becomes, and Tokyo is the largest metropolis in existence. That makes it the most powerful magical dominion in the world.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It seems the player&nbsp;will assume the role of&nbsp;a&nbsp;Shunin&nbsp;(Japanese for \u201cchief\u201d or \u201csupervisor\u201d), who&nbsp;has been assigned&nbsp;to an administrative body known as the Special District Office.
