Scheduled to launch in 2026, Navinosuke is a canceled project <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/metal-slugs-dev-team-made-a-gps-based-game-15-years-before-pokemon-go-but-never-got-to-release-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">originally created as a \u201cgeolocation-based\u201d RPG for the Game Boy Advance<\/a>, and is finally being revived by its creators after 20 years of silence. Looking at the new gameplay screenshots posted by Akio, the \u201cevent\u201d markers in the game seem to point players towards interactable objects, while the \u201cGO\u201d markers serve as waymarks guiding to objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Ishiguro explained to him, \u201cAll recent games have this. If you don\u2019t implement it, people will get angry at you.\u201d This is why, for the modern release of Navinosuke, Kohachi implemented a \u201ckindness system,\u201d which will allow the players to toggle the markers on if they get stuck, or off if they prefer to play the game on its original \u201cdifficulty.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith RPGs back in the day, it was pretty much normal to get stuck if you forget the story. There also weren\u2019t any maps, and it was common to end up wandering around lost for hours. And the only way to push through was by taking notes and making hand-drawn maps,\u201d Akio writes. While he says he prefers the \u201csadistic\u201d RPGs, he understands that the ages have changed, and he says he even might toggle the \u201ckindness system\u201d on when he\u2019s running short on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"[JP\/EN] Navinosuke -The Yo-kai Buster- | Teaser Trailer\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GrNB5Ycy64w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>However, as a small rebellion against the blatant \u201cGO\u201d markers, Akio decided to implement \u201chints\u201d directly into the game\u2019s mechanics. Apparently, Navinosuke features a \u201ccrow pet\u201d that will guide you to your objectives more smoothly.
