Japanese publisher Shueisha Games announced that their brand-new puzzle adventure game Kami to Miko<\/strong> will release on April 23 for PC, mobile and tablet devices. The game will be available to play via browser, with a demo also available on the official website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Kami to Miko, you\u2019ll be playing as a literal god (kami) answering the prayers of the young prehistoric shamaness Miko. Using your modern knowledge and problem-solving skills, you\u2019ll be helping Miko resuscitate her dying village by sending her hints through a series of \u201cdivine revelations.\u201d Throughout the game, Miko will reincarnate multiple times, taking on slightly different forms with each era she spawns in. Tracing the history of humanity alongside her, you\u2019ll be combating famine, disease and many other challenges Miko and her community are facing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, Miko\u2019s prehistoric village from a million years ago is facing problems such as unbearably cold weather, wild boar attacks and food shortages. Viewing the world from the perspective of a god, you\u2019ll be able to spy on the villagers\u2019 conversations and gather crucial information on the environment. However, your words and \u201cdivine messages\u201d can\u2019t reach normal villagers directly. And even Miko, who managed to summon you, doesn\u2019t seem to understand what you\u2019re saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is where \u201ckami no ishi,\u201d or \u201cgod stones\u201d come into play. When you gather enough information, you\u2019ll be able to create multiple stones engraved with special symbols which, when presented to Miko in the right other, serve as hints for the shamaness to solve the problems within her community. Being a god, you also have the power to manipulate weather, sending out rain, thunder and wind as another form of message to the troubled humans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
