Alongside an across-the-board rase in base pay for existing employees, the company will also be raising the starting salary for freshly graduated new employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/0115765.com\/archives\/177394\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Otaku Soken<\/a>, new employees joining at entry-level positions (fresh hires straight out of college) from March 2027 will have their starting salary raised from 240,000 (about $1,500 USD) yen to 310,000 yen (about $1,940 USD), an increase of approximately 29%. Furthermore, the base monthly salary for all employees will rise by 5,000 yen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Konami stated that it is &#8220;committed to continuing to actively invest in human capital, with this new increase in base salaries being a reflection of that. The company\u2019s goal is to attract a diverse pool of outstanding talent and create \u201can environment where working feels both comfortable and fulfilling\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a related note, as the industry is growing more competitive when it comes to securing human resources, it seems like Konami has decided to join the ever-growing number of major Japanese game companies in making substantial raises (especially of entry-level salaries) to retain and further attract talented workers. Last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/sonys-game-division-announces-record-high-starting-salary-increases-in-japan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sony<\/a> announced an increase in base pay with a big bump in starting salaries for new graduates.
