Today in things that serve no purpose other than looking really cool, an Arknights: Endfield<\/strong> player has recreated Full Metal Alchemist\u2019s \u201cNationwide Transmutation Circle\u201d in the game\u2019s Wuling City. This one will not sacrifice thousands of human souls in exchange for a Philosopher\u2019s Stone, but it sure was a feat to recreate in-game. The massive construction takes advantage of new features added in Endfield\u2019s latest v1.1 update, “Old Deep Water Dies by Rising Tide It is Denied.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The creator of this Nationwide Transmutation Circle is Korean player Ateri, who posted their handiwork to gaming forum DCInside<\/a>. To provide some background, the Nationwide Transmutation Circle is a major plot point in Hiromu Arakawa\u2019s Full Metal Alchemist manga series. Unlike other alchemical diagrams appearing in the story, this one is not only as big as a whole country, but it\u2019s also carved out using secret underground tunnels as part of a massive conspiracy by the title\u2019s main antagonist. Once activated, it\u2019s designed to consume the life of every human being within it to transmute a powerful Philosopher\u2019s Stone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In their forum post,\u00a0Ateri\u00a0showcases\u00a0screenshots of\u00a0their\u00a0own\u00a0\u201cWuling Transmutation Circle,\u201d\u00a0faithfully shaped like two\u00a0encircled pentagons spanning\u00a0a good chunk of the\u00a0city.\u00a0According to the player, this ominous structure\u00a0is disguised as\u00a0an innocent irrigation channel, and it took them six hours to create it\u00a0by meticulously laying down pipes for carrying liquids.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Incidentally, underground piping only became possible with\u00a0Arknights: Endfield\u2019s latest v1.1 patch (using the new conduits).\u00a0By laying down pipes underground,\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0less restricted by terrain, and your systems can span longer distances\u00a0(up to 200 meters) which, surprisingly, makes\u00a0the construction of monumental magical circles much more convenient.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arknights: Endfield is available as a free-to-play title on PC (official site<\/a>\/Epic Games Store<\/a>), PS5<\/a>, iOS<\/a>, and Android<\/a>.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n
