Crimson Dusk and PLAYISM released the indie 3D action game Homura Hime<\/strong> on March 4. The game is available for PC (Steam<\/a>) with a Nintendo Switch 2 release slated for 2026.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set in a world where humans and demons coexist, Homura Hime puts you in the role of the titular Flame Princess, a powerful exorcist dispatched by the High Priestess to purify the world and defeat all corrupted demons. The gameplay is a blend of combo-heavy action and 3D bullet-hell. The Flame Princess can dodge and parry attacks while executing combos, and she possesses a long-range purifying shot that can exorcise the corruption surrounding enemies. As you purify demons, your arsenal of skills and combos grows, opening up more playstyle variation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time of writing, Homura Hime is rated \u201cVery Positive\u201d on Steam out of 155 reviews, peaking at 949 concurrent players (SteamDB)<\/a>. This game started out as a solo project by Taiwan-based developer Sam. After their project started gaining traction online, they established the indie studio Crimson Dusk to expand the scale of development. Prior to the official launch, Homura Hime got a limited-time demo, which Cimson Dusk used to implement several improvements, including a lower difficulty mode. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from its anime-style visuals, Homura Hime boasts a Japanese voice acting cast that anime fans are bound to appreciate, including Fairouz Ai (Jolyne Cujoh in Jojo\u2019s Bizarre Adventure, Power in Chainsaw Man) and Koyasu Takehito (Dio Brando in Jojo\u2019s Bizarre Adventure). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
